Back up before changing devices or clearing data

Chapter text uses local writing storage on your current device. Before changing phones, uninstalling, or clearing local data, save a backup where you can find it again.

1. Open Settings → Data management.
2. Choose Back up works and save or share the file.
3. On the target device, choose Restore works and select that file.
4. Review the restore preview before confirming. Then open a few works and check their chapters.

Tip: Keep at least two copies of an important novel in different places. Signing in does not mean local chapter text has automatically been backed up.

File features can differ on Web and mobile. If backup is unavailable on your current platform, keep the original device and data intact; do not uninstall or clear it yet.
